Rose Daigle Vordick, 87, a native of Jennings, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 10:35 a.m.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Vordick and wife, Marianne, of Houma; one daughter, Jackie Hudson of Houma; six grandchildren, David Vordick and wife, Stephanie, Brent Hudson and wife, Shannon, Chris Vordick and wife, Bambi, Betsy Breerwood and husband, Buddy, Robin Hudson and Jeffrey Vordick; and seven great-grandchildren, Connor and Keely Hudson, Mackenzie and Gavin Vordick, Gabe and Jillian Vordick and Drew Breerwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, General “G.R.” Vordick; her parents, Dulva Daigle and Carmelize Lejuene; one son-in-law, Rodney Hudson, six brothers, Clarence, Armond, Beo, Phillip, Clyde and Duval Daigle; and two sisters, Ivy Blanchard and Marie Fryou.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
