Rose Dufrene Wiggins, passed away 82 years young Sunday, Sept. 27, at her residence.


Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 wonderful years, Clayton Wiggins; three children Ronald Wiggins and his late wife Roylene Wiggins, Glen Wiggins and his wife Charlotte, and Gwen Wiggins Sanchez and her husband Douglas; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.


Rose was preceded in death by her parents Hector and Eunice Dufrene; one son Roland Wiggins; mother- and father-in-law, Bernie and Mildred Wiggins; and two grandsons Tommy Rivet and Tad Wiggins.

Rose was loved by many. Rose loved her Lord and Jesus Christ to the fullest. She loved to grow houseplants, and Ivory’s, she gave to all who wanted some.

A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hargrave Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Rose will be laid to rest at Morgan City Cemetery.

Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
