Rosella Griffin Crochet, 79, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, June 26, 2010.


Mrs. Crochet was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, cooking and raising her family.

She is survived by her husband, Viles Joseph “V.J.” Crochet Jr.; sons, Kevin and Patrick (Patricia) Crochet; daughters, Anne (Larry) Rainier, Paula (Keystol) Adams, Pam Weeks and Claudia Crochet; nine grandchildren, Rebecca Rainier, Tiffany Rainier Quitania, Chad and Shawn Adams, Carrey Weeks Britsch, Michael Weeks, Casey Crochet Bonvillain, Brandon Crochet and David Velasquez; four great-grandchildren, Drake and Rylee Bonvillain, William Britsch and Brittney Velasquez; brothers, Allie Jr., Robert and John Griffin; and sister, Della Sanders.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Eva Savoie Griffin; one daughter, Erica Joan Crochet; and two sisters, Helen Guyton and Marie Louise Griffin.

She is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
