Roy Ivey, 92, a native of Bebe, Texas and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012.


Mr. Ivey was retired from GEMOCO & Ace Transportation Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.


He is survived by his son, David Ivey; daughter, Kathy Runnels; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Ivey; parents, John and Emma Ivey; daughter, Sherry Coyle; brothers, Lexton, Julius, Clarence and Bart Ivey; and sisters, Ida Brown, Addie Haynes and Clara Buras.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel with religious services to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Falgout)
