Roy J. Bernard, 46, a native and resident of Belle Rose, La., died Friday, May 29.

He is survived by his daughters, Chelsea Landry and Bianca North of Donaldsonville, La.; brother, David Brown of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters, Betty Williams and Joann Landry of Donaldsonville, Carrie Dixon of Marrero, La., and Dianne Rainey of Belle Rose; and two grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emma Bell Brown; his adoptive parents, Alma and Claiborne Bernard; sister, Mary Bell; and brothers, Earl, Ricky and George Brown.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at St. James United Methodist Church. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
