Roy “R.E.” Bourgeois Jr., 69, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 12:22 p.m. Thursday, June 26.
He is survived by two daughters, Dena Martin and husband, Noel, and Jill Boudreaux and husband, Christopher “Chub”; one brother, Rudie Bourgeois and wife, JoAnn; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Romona Dupuis Bourgeois; and his parents, Roy Bourgeois Sr. and Lena Toups Bourgeois.
He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday, June 28, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Raceland.
