Royline “Popeye” Lirette, 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan.
26, 2011.
Mr. Lirette was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne (Timothy) Brunet; his companion, Elaine Anderson; stepchildren, Toni Anderson, Tammy Breaux, Tracie, Todd and Troy Anderson; one great-grandchild, Brett Michele Verrett; 10 stepgrandchildren; brother, Junior Lirette; and sister, Bernita Thibodaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louella Soudelier Lirette; one son, Dwayne Micheal Lirette; two grandchildren Crystal Lirette and Nicole Stone; and one brother, Stuart Little.
