August 19, 2011Rozena T. Pitre, 78, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011.
Mrs. Pitre was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow where she was a member of the choir. She loved to sing, cook and dance. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law.
She is survived by her sons, Edison (Roberta) and Clint (Tammy) Pitre; brother, Linberg Terrebonne; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pitre; parents, Edison and Marie Terrebonne; brothers, Nolta, Mack, Chester and Edison Terrebonne; and sisters, Enola DeArmond, Gertie Johnson and Beatrice Matthews.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Hebert Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
