Ruby Lee Gasery Redmond, 61, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Wednesday, July 15.


She is survived by her husband, Roussell Redmond; one son, Darren Redmond; two brothers, Binel Jr. and Iziah Gasery; seven sisters, Claudette McKay, Karen Barrow, Jacquelyn Clay, Betty Bryant, Joyce Pharr, Patricia Poindexter and Leona Rudolph; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Binel Sr. and Rose Livas Gasery; one sister, Constance Gasery; and her grandparents, Walter and Daisy Gasery and Minty and Thomas Livas.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the funeral home with burial at First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
