Rudy “Pap-Pa” Hutcher-son Jr., 67, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, LA., died Saturday, January 13, 2007.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue, LA. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Matherne Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Hodnett Hutcherson; one daughter, Susan Hutcherson Morrison; two brothers, Robert Hutcherson and Curtis Hutcherson; three granddaughters, Kelly Morrison Reeves, Jillian Diane Morrison and Stephanie Ellen Morrison; one grandson, Ches Morrison; and one son-in-law Chet Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Hutcherson Sr. and Domitile Porche Hutcherson; and one son, Stephen Whitney Hutcherson.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending his time following all his grandchildren’s activities. He was ever present at all practices and games and especially well-known among the Southland Hogs baseball and all Vandebilt Catholic High sports circle of fans and grandchildren’s family members. His presence with his grandson’s sports and granddaughter’s cheerleading activities was his complete devotion.
He was a Christian and loyal family man. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Houma, LA. on Main Street, dedicated to the building fund.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
