Russell Cheramie, 54, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at 7:48 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, June Savoie Adams; his mother-in-law, Rose Adams Doucet; one son, Jamie Patrick Cheramie and his wife Brandy; one daughter, Natasha Angelette and her husband Paul; one daughter-in-law, Kim Guidry Cheramie; three brothers, Harris Cheramie and Manny Cheramie, Jr.; two sisters, Corina Callais, and Jeanie Howell; and seven grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Manny and Beulah Griffin Cheramie, Sr., one son, Tosawi John Cheramie; and his father-in-law, Alvin Paul Savoie.

Russell was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church. His greatest love was his family, especially hi beloved grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, August 17, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galliano. He will be buried in the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
