Russell Joseph Guidry, 67, a native and resident of Larose, La. died Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 9:39 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Sharilane Guidry; his mother, Marie Guidry; two sons, Duane Guidry and his wife Stacy and Rusty Guidry; two daughters, Hally Brown and her husband Bruce and Tressie Cheramie and her husband Walton; two brothers, Kenneth and Ted Guidry; two sisters, Diana Duet and Nancy Orgeron; and four grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Wilkerson “Bobby” Guidry; and one nephew, Danny Guidry.

Russell was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed trawling and woodworking. He was a retired Carpenter.

Visitation is Wednesday, January 2, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
