Ruth Dufrene Bergeron, 62, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, July 28, at 12 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Bergeron; mother, Mildred Bernadette Dufrene; daughters, Tina Bergeron and Lacey Bergeron; brother, Octave “OJ” Dufrene; and sisters, Cathy Lyle, Darlene Dufrene and Tammy Knight.
She was preceded in death by her father, Octave “Tive” Dufrene.
She was the manager of Sunrise Fried Chicken in Lockport, La. She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Raceland.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Raceland.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
