Ruth Hochenedel Robichaux, 89, a native of Alexandria, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 2:39 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012.
Mrs. Robichaux was a founding member of the Maria Immacolata Parish, the Legion of Mary, and was a Eucharistic minister. She was a teacher at St. Francis de Sales School and a guidance counselor at Vandebilt Catholic High School for 20 years. She has a passion for tennis, was an avid golfer and loved to fish.
She is survived by her son, John Robichaux; daughters, Virginia (Myrden) Pellegrin and Patricia Gilbert; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Robichaux, sons, Ernest and Edward Robichaux; parents, Edward Sr. and Virginia Hochenedel; and brother, Edward Hochenedel Jr.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
