June 5, 2013Ruth Mire Ashley, 90, a native of Sulphur, La., and resident of Franklin, La., died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Mrs. Ashley was a nursing assistant with Franklin Foundation Hospital for nearly 40 years. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Bible Church in Centerville, La. She will be remembered as a gentle, sweet woman with deep faith.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Mire; sister, Joyce (Norman) Percle; friend and caregiver, Brenda Boudreaux; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ashley; children, Malcolm and Troy Ashley and Judy Billiot; parents, Theodore and Hattie Mire; brother, Curtis Mire; and sister, Jane Chustz.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville with services to follow. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
