Salvador “Sam” Lawrence Morello, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, June 23.
He is survived by his sisters, Anna Rita Morello Rosenberger Soileau and Marie Morello Clark of Houma; three nephews, Lawrence Morello, Jake Morello Jr. and Timmy Clark; and his extended family, Linda and Mark Theriot of Bayou Blue, April and Joe Thibodeaux, Chelesa, Jeremy and Brad Thibodeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Morello and Marie Antonia Cannella Morello; one brother, Jake J. Morello; and one infant sister, Angelina Morello.
He was self-employed merchant and a member of the Italian Society. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Blue Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 193 Lake Long Drive, Houma, La., 70364.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. with burial at Rogers-Matherne Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
