Sam Lusco, 81, a native of Smoke Bend, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:08 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.


Mr. Lusco was a former alderman for Ward II, a city council member and a former U.S. Marine. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife, Elodie Lusco; sons, Davey (Rhonda) and Sam Jr. (Michelle) Lusco; daughter, Cindy Lusco; sister, Annette Melum; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Josephine Lusco; daughter, Ellen Lusco; and brothers, Ignatius and Louis Lusco.

Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
