Schuyler “Buck” James Cortez, 52, a native and resident of Kraemer, La., died Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 11:27 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Delatte Cortez; his mother, Essie Mae Granier Cortez; one daughter, Katie Cortez; one brother, Paul Cortez; and three sisters, Geraldine Bertrand, Joyce Kraemer and Shirley Mahler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Cortez.
He is buried in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church Cemetery in Kraemer.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
