Protection vital for future, locals tell Mabus

Shannon Toups Vitrano, 39, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Grand Caillou, La., died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.
She is survived by her parents, John and Nancy Bergeron Toups; son, Anthony Joseph Toups; daughter, Hope Marie Naquin; and brothers, Shane (Angel) and Simon (Faith) Toups.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Vitrano.
She is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
