$13.6M in rec improvements unveiled in Thibodaux

Sherwin “Shawee” David Dupre, 70, a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.
Mr. Dupre was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Harriet Dupre; children, Denise Lirette, Troy (Holly) and Bryan Dupre; stepdaughters, Sally Lirette and Tina Bergeron; brothers, Harmon (Ouida), Everard (Kathleen) and Archie (Elwanda) Dupre; sisters, Janise (Gurvis) Blanchard and Mona (Jerry) Bourg; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one step-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Dupre; parents, David and Clonise Dupre; and grandparents, Willis and Clarise Dupre and Dema and Bridget Dupre.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
