Sheryl Lee Brunet Nelton, 64, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014.
Mrs. Nelton was a loving mother who dedicated her life to helping veterans, family and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7755.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Nelton; sons, Joseph Jr. (Mitzi) and James (Renee’) Nelton; brothers, Rufus (Reda) Bourg and Carroll (Grace), Gerald (Linda), Theodore (Kathleen) and Burt (Mary) Brunet; sisters, Evelyn LeBoeuf and Ruby (Kern) Pirtle; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Sr. and Ruby Brunet; daughter, Shelley Nelton; brothers, Edward, Daniel and Barry Brunet; and sisters, Yvonne Pitre and Joyce Price.
Burial is at Bisland Cemetery. (Chauvin)
