Sheryl Marie Veal, 45, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 of natural causes.
She was Baptist.
She is survived by her parents, Leon and Gail Veal; son, Akeem Olajuwon (Bria Vincent) Veal; daughter, Renee Veal; brothers, Robert Veal, Guy Campbell, Leon (Tiffany Lucas) Veal and Roderick (Monica) Butler; sisters, Jada King and Dawn Campbell; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia C. Veal; one son, Joquan O’Neal Veal; two brothers, Leon “Boom” Veal III and Jeon M. Veal; one uncle, Edward “Bubba” J. Anderson; her grandparents, Georgia Scott, Albert Smith and Eula J. Bell; and her great-grandparents, Albertha M. Scott and George Washington.
She is buried at Deweyville Cemetery.
