Shirley Baradell Simmons, 74, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Mrs. Simmons was a great mother and grandmother. She was a great cook and also loved to play cards.
She is survived by her children, Edward Jr. (Cathy) Simmons, Diana (Rusty Sr.) Ordoyne and Melanie (Robert) Kraemer; sister, Marie Templet; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Simmons Sr.; parents, Robert and Cecile Baradell; and siblings, Charles and Robert Baradell, Rita Babin, Mildred Adams and Rose Boudreaux.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Thibodaux)
