Shirley “Shake” Torregano, 52, a native of Tylertown, Ms., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, November 12.


She is survived by her mother, Hazel Brumfield of Houma; three sons, Stanley Brumfield, Ardian Williams and Avis Williams, all of Houma; three daughters, Monica Brumfield, Marie Williams and Angela Lyons and husband Lee, all of Houma; five brothers, James Brumfield of Houma, Johnnie Brumfield Jr. of Baton Rouge, La., Cleveland Smith and Benjamin Brumfield and wife Bridgette, of McComb, Ms., and Joseph Brumfield of Magnolia, Ms.; seven sisters, Janice Sneeze, Carolyn Brumfield and Bernita Brumfield, all of Houma, Gloria Brumfield of Magnolia, Patricia Scott and husband Johnny, Sheila Pittman and husband Larry, and Julia Ann Hampton and husband Dennis, all of McComb; and two grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Torregano; her father, Johnnie Brumfield; and one brother, Johnnie Leon Brumfield.

She was a homemaker and was Baptist.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, November 21, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Halfway Cemetery.

Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
