Sidney John Francis Sr., 81, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen “Kathy” (Kirk) Dinger, John “Kellen”, Sidney Jr. “June” (Sabrina) and David (Barbara) Francis, Julianne “Julie” (Rodney) Dinger and Pamela Ann (Brad) Allen; sisters, Josephine Chapman and Corine Paulk; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Alcess and Corine Duthu Francis; brothers, Clifford, Delvin, Joseph, Nolan and Antoine ‘Tee’ Francis; and sisters, Elnora Billiot, Eva Dion and Malvina Landry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to alleviate funeral expenses. Donations can be sent to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. P.O. Box 236 Franklin, LA 70538.
