Sidney “Jimmy” James Lirette, 74, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died Sunday, June 29, 2014.
Mr. Lirette was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Breaux Lirette; daughter, Mary (Brian) Fonseca; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Sandy) Lirette; brother-in-law, David Bergeron; sisters, Henrietta “Min” Guidry, Elaine (David) Luke, Elizabeth “Betty” (James) Collins, Linda (Roy) Wall and Susan (Steve) Marcel; and sisters-in-law, Jeannie Lirette and Barbara Lirette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony James Lirette and Malvina Voisin Lirette; brothers, Ronald “T-Won,” Gerald “Sam” and Loney Lirette; and sister, Hedy “Blonde” Bergeron.
The Lirette family extends a special thanks to the staffs of Terrebonne General Medical Center, Haydel Memorial Hospice and Dr. Brian Matherne’s office for the loving care given to Mr. Lirette.
Burial is at Bayou Black Cemetery.
