Sidney “Bull Jink” Williams Sr., 83, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008.


He is survived by his sons, Sidney Williams Jr. and wife, Lillie, of Dularge, La., Melvin Williams and wife, Rose, of Houma, Eric Williams and wife, Mary Ann, of Labadieville, La., Elbert Williams and wife, Betty, of Houma, Edward Williams of Houma, Stanley Williams and wife, Bobbie, of Chauvin, La., and Octave Williams and wife, Ora May, of Houma; daughters, Rose Wade and husband, Percy, Linda Williams, Gail Johnson and husband, Charles, of Houma; 39 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lagarde Williams; his parents, Mandy Jackson Williams and George Williams; brothers, Albert Williams and Clarence Williams; and sister, Hazel “Dutchess” Williams.

He was a mechanic with South Coast.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. He will be buried at Bisland Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
