Silas Hollingsworth, 94, a native of Gary, In., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, February 21.
He is survived by his son, Larry J. Hollingworth and wife Yvonne of Houma; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurene Shufford Hollingsworth; and parents, Joseph and Emma Hollingsworth.
He was a retired steel worker with LTV Steel Company and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Baptist.
A religious service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home.
