Spurgeon Lemon, 71, a native of McCall and resident of Klotzville, La., died at his home, Sunday, June 22.

He is survived by his wife, Earline Simon Lemon of Klotzville; three daughters, Bobbie Lewis and husband, Harold, Brenda Johnson and husband, Kirby, of Klotzville, and Debra Garnett and husband, Grandison, of Donaldsonville, La.; four sons, Tyrone, Jerome and Donald Lemon of Klotzville and Ronald Lemon and wife, Brenda, of Odessa, Tx.; one brother, Eugene Jenning and wife, Gloria, of Dorseyville, La.; two sisters, Lillian Rodrigue and husband, Larry, of Donaldsonville and Marjorie Walker of New Orleans, La.; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Lemon and Eugene Jenning; one daughter, Mary Ann Miles; four brothers, Arthur, Phillip and Wallace Lemon and Earl Jennings; and one sister.

He was a retired employee of Savoie Industries.

Visitation will be 2 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., and 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Virginia Baptist Church in Ewellville, La. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
