Stanley A. Gaudet, 92 a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Larose, La., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
Mr. Gaudet was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He worked for Texaco for 32 years as a motorman and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Larose VFW and the Cut Off Fishing Club “Tin Shed”.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Phyllis Gaudet; son, Lonnie Gaudet; daughter, Diana (Ted) Melancon; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambroise and Josephine Gaudet; daughter, Stephanie Dumond; brother, Ambroise Gaudet Jr.; sister, Sally Stan; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
