Stephanie Bergeron Breaux, 63, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died at 5:30 p.m. July 8, 2014.
Mrs. Breaux was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, and a retired teacher with more than 33 years of dedicated service in Terrebonne Parish.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kermit Leonard Breaux; son, Kyle Joseph Leonard Breaux; daughter, Erin (Jaime Joseph) Detiveaux, mother, Virginia Lirette Bergeron; brother: Donnie (Faye) Bergeron; sister, Melanie (Merlin Jon) Clark; and two grandchildren.
Her father, Donald Joseph Bergeron Sr., preceded her in death.
The Breaux family extends its sincere, heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Breaux’s caregivers at Terrebonne General Medical Center and the AMG Specialty Hospital. Each was instrumental in giving Mrs. Breaux the peace, comfort and dignity she deserved.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mrs. Breaux’s name to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
