Sterling Shepherd, 49, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Saturday, November 29.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Marie Lee; parents, Samuel and Charlotte Shepherd; son, Dupre Lee and companion Brittnay Lee; daughters, Dawn Johnson and Maisha and husband LaQuentin Davis; brothers, Samuel Shepherd, Jr. of Kansas, Stanley Shepherd of Houma, La., Victor Shepherd and wife Robin of Hahnville, La. and Jason Shepherd and wife Yvonne of Holland; sister, Angela George and devoted companion Shawn Steward; grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Riley and Sam Shepherd and Mary Scott; and 11 grandchildren.
He was Baptist and a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
