Steve “Moose” Jerome Marie, 76, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died at 12:37 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
Mr. Marie was a game warden for 12 years and managed Samanie Packing for three years. He was the owner of PBS, Inc. for 25 years and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Marie; son, Bryan Marie; foster daughter, Ina Fitch; sisters, Sybil Marcel and Otonia (Timith) Johnson; brothers, Oneil Jr. (Beverly), Russell and Leslie (Sandi) Marie; one grandchild; three foster grandchildren; five foster great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oneil and Edna Marie.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, at Annunziata Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
