Susan “Pixie” Gouaux, 61, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013.
Mrs. Gouaux was a founding member of the Bayou Lafourche Folklife Heritage Museum, a member of the Women’s Club of Lockport and the Lion’s Club. She was and a beloved teacher’s aide at Holy Savior School.
She is survived her husband, L. Phillip Gouaux Jr.; daughters, Dionne O’Brien, Andrea, Mattie and Jeanne Gouaux, Louise Lawson and Aimee O’Gwynn; brothers, Bobby Rousse and Richard Sumrall; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edless Rouse; mother, Marilyn Sumrall; and stepfather, Ray Sumrall.
