Suzanne Marie Dupuy, 88, a native of France and a resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, January 10.

She is survived by her son, Anthony “Tony” Dupuy and wife Darlene; daughters, Susan D. Abadie and husband Allen, and Mary Ann McGill and husband Mike; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Dupuy Sr.; parents, Ernest Michel and Pauline Delaunoy Dupoux; son, Eddie Dupuy Jr.; daughter, Rita Mae Dupuy; and sister, Marcelle Chalindrey.

She was a happy person who was loved by all who met her and will be missed by many. She was Catholic, a homemaker and enjoyed reading and sewing.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Cypress Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, La.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
