October 11, 2010Thaddeus Joseph Martin, 87, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010.
Mr. Martin was a boat contractor. He was a member of the East Park Volunteer Fire Department, a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member and a parishioner of Our lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elma Naquin Martin; daughter, Donna (Marvin) Redmond; sons, Larry and Danny (Cynthia) Martin; seven grandchildren, Tanya Colee, Tara Auer, Monica Holloway, Jessica Martin, Ryan Martin, Becky Chapman, Vicky Redmond; two great-grandchildren, Amber Colee and Kyle Holloway; and brother, Percy Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Julia Lapeyrouse Martin; son, Terry Martin; brothers, Harris, Alvin, Julius and Lucius Martin; and sisters, Sylvia Authement, Beulah Griffin and Pearl Boudreaux.
He is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
