Thelma Detillier DeJean, 91, a native of Mathews, La., and a resident of Des Allemands, La., died Sunday, January 25.
She is survived by her sons, Elwood “Jimmy” DeJean Jr. and Gary DeJean and wife Kandy; daughters, Brenda D. Madere and Merle D. Savoie and husband C.H. “Sonny”; brothers, Dudley and Percy Detillier; sisters, Jeannette Detillier and Elsie D. Levet; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood J. DeJean Sr.; parents, Alcee and Marguerite Arabie Detillier; son-in-law, Davis Madere; daughter-in-law, Karen DeJean; brothers, Charles, R.G. and Lynn Detillier; and sister, Shirley D. Borello.
She was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to masses are preferred.
Burial was at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery in Des Allemands.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
