Thelma M. Marse, 82, a native of Gramercy, La., and a resident of Vacherie, La., died Thursday, July 30.
She is survived by her son, Thomas P. Marse Jr. and wife Connie Rome Marse of Vacherie; two sisters, Dolores Didier and Gayle Ann Deroche; and one brother, Lawrence Melancon Jr.; three granddaughters, Heather M. Ordoyne and husband Mitchell Ordoyne of Chackbay, La., Hollie M. Folse and husband Carroll Folse Jr. of Vacherie, and Ashley Marse of Vacherie; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Ordoyne and Caroline Folse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Marse Sr.; parents, Lawrence and Agnes Melancon; one sister, Norma Lousteau; and one brother, James Melancon.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie with mass to follow. Entombment will be at the church mausoleum.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
