Theresa Elphage Alcorn, 77, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Belle Rose, La., died Saturday, July 25.


She is survived by two sons, Cleveland Alcorn and wife Janet of Thibodaux, La., and Leonard Alcorn and wife Pamela of Plattenville, La.; one sister, Marynell Benward of Oakland, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Alcorn; father, Everette Elphage; mother and step-father, Elouise and Ferman Beasley; and one sister, Rosalie Deams.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Napoleonville. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
