May 12, 2011Therese Babin Bourgeois, 91, a native of Raceland, La., died Thursday, April 28, 2011.
Mrs. Bourgeois was a parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church and member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 349. She was a talented seamstress.
She is survived by her children, Irwin, Jason and Terry Bourgeois, Rosella Bernard and Myra Badeaux; daughters-in-law, Gaynell, Julie, Linda and Kathy Bourgeois; 16 grandchildren, Laura Siebert, Don Bernard II, Lynn St.Blanc, Charlotte Hebert, Chantelle Parks, Nathan Jr., Marcel, Therese, Dwayne, Jean-Paul, Andre’, Justin, J.P. and Jessica Bourgeois, and Suzanne and Nicole Bernard; 26 great-grandchildren, Meagan, Kayla, Corey, Alyssa, Jayden, Paul, Joy, Tori, Tre’, Owen, Rianna, Ashley, Ashleigh, Devin, Matthew, Brandi, Tyler, Colby, Peyton, Nathan III, Hannah, Jimi, Xander, Celia, Luke and Logan; two great-great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melous and Lucie Verdin Babin; son, Nathan Bourgeois; grandson, Jacob Bourgeois; brother, Felician, Joseph, Dennis, Theodore and Eddie Babin; sisters, Louise Babin, Aglia Zeringue; Ellida Breaux, Meloie Hebert, Clothilde Guidry, Alice Boudreaux and Marie Tabor; son-in-law, Don Bernard; and great-grandson, Brandon Ray Bernard.
She is buried at St. Mary Cemetery. (Falgout)
