Thomas F. Cheramie, 88, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Paradis, La., died Friday, May 27, 2011.


Mr. Cheramie was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus Post 2409, VFW and American Legion Post 131 and on the board of St. Charles Hospital for 30 years – 25 years as chairman.


He is survived by his wife, Cecile Cheramie; and sisters, Beatrice Boyer and Melza Mayet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruger Sr. and Eulucia Cheramie; brothers, Bruger Jr., T.J., Hubert, Rudolph and Morris Cheramie; and sisters, Marion Gregoire, Espenence Martin, Pearl Poche and Yvonne Rebstock.

He is buried at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, La. (Falgout)
