Thomas Edmond Bergeron, 88, a native of St. John Community in Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, died Tuesday, September 23.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Bergeron Jr. and David Bergeron; two daughters, Bonnie Bergeron Stagni and Rachelle Bergeron Gros; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Guidry Bergeron; his parents, Thomas L. Bergeron and Edra Adams Bergeron; and one brother, Earl Bergeron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 614 Barrow Street, Houma, La., 70360.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, September 26, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. He will be buried at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
