Tillman M. Terrebonne, 76, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011.


Mr. Terrebonne was a trawler and fisherman and was the owner of Tillman’s Diesel Mechanic. He had 50 plus years experience in the mechanic field. He will be greatly missed.


He is survived by his wife, Viola Vizier Terrebonne; sons, Tillman (Kathern) and Terry A. Terrebonne; daughters, Joyce (Mark) Callais, Linda (Carl) Kiger and Rebecca Terrebonne; brother, Alphonse Terrebonne; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a few special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson and Eva Martin Terrebonne; daughter, Jennifer “Jan” Hunter; son-in-law, Nolan Adams Jr.; one brother, Jeffery “Jay” Terrebonne Sr.; and two sisters, Thelma Griffin (his twin) and Nelma Cheramie.

He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
