Timothy Ray Hebert

Timothy Ray Hebert, 50, a resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died at 11:08 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012.

Mr. Hebert received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from LSU and a master’s degree in business administration from Nicholls State University. He was a teacher and was very active at First United Methodist Church. He belonged to the Terrebonne Historical Society, Terrebonne Genealogical Society and authored several books on Acadian-Cajun history and genealogy.

He is survived by his wife Martha Hebert; son, Jonathon (Andrea) Hebert; daughters, Katie and Chrissy Hebert; parents, Norman and Shirley Hebert; sister, Terri (David) Hebert; brother, Troy (Lisa) Hebert; and three grandchildren, Willow, Jack and Xander Hebert.

Burial was at Garden of Memories Cemetery. (Chauvin)
