Tony Kufel, Jr., age 98, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 4:17 a.m. He was a native of Gilmer, WV and a resident of Gray, LA.
Tony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gurtis Theresa Deshotel Kufel; sons, Tim B. Kufel and wife, Shelia, Clayton P. Kufel and wife, Nancy, Gary W. Kufel and wife, Gretchen, and Ralph E. Kufel and wife, Shirley; grandchildren, Christina Martin and husband, Dusty, Danielle Douglas, Derek Thibodeaux and wife, Brandy, Haley Thibodeaux, Michael Kufel and wife, Hillary, and Ben Kufel; 12 great-grandchildren.
Tony served in the US Navy during WWII. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
