Travis Olen Haney Sr., 74, a native of Alcorn County, Miss., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Mr. Haney enjoyed fishing and shrimping as well as taking apart engines and putting them back together. He was very athletic and played baseball and football in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cathy Haney; sons, Sonny, Robin, Travis Jr., Olen and Hank Haney; brother, Charles Haney Sr.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Haney; brother, Terry Haney Sr.; and sisters, Shelby Baggnet and Dottie Patin.
Visitation will be 12:30 to 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Victory Life Church in Lockport, La., with services to follow. (Twin City)
