Tyren R. Holmes

Tyren R. Holmes, 13, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at Children’s Hospital Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010.

He is survived by his father, Eric Mills of Houston, Texas; mother, Eletha Holmes of Raceland; brothers, John Drake III of Raceland and Shakerrio Dillion of Larose; sisters, Serenity and Janeisha Holmes of Raceland and Inani and Imaya Mills, both of Houston; grandparents, Brenda and Jerry Holmes, and Clyde and Deidra Pickett.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Eletha Hadley.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland. A religious service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

He will be buried at the Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
