Ursula Doucet Griffin, 85, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Saturday, July 18.


She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sidney Griffin; one son, Donald Griffin and wife Betty; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin and Philomine Kief Doucet; two brothers, Walter Doucet and Wallace Doucet; and five sisters, Mirza Plaisance, Natalie Chouest, Regina Theriot, Augusta Martin and Lorida Pitre.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
