Valerie Jean Carvin, 61, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011.
Mrs. Carvin was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and a retired employee of Terrebonne General Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Carvin; mother, Bernadine Stewart; daughters, Kimberly (Blaine) Foussell and LaKeshia Williams; brothers, Charlie Jr., Roy, Michael, Larry, Dalbert and Clay Stewart; sisters, Gloria and Lisa Short, Benada Clay, and Janelle, Brunetta and Gilda Stewart; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow Williams; father, Charlie Stewart Sr.; sister, Catherine Stewart; and her grandparents, Thomas and Mary Stewart, and Johnny and Selena Johnson.
She is buried at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery. (Community)
