Velma Clarke, 69, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, LA., died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow. Religious service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Terrance Clarke; two sons, Gary Triche and Jesse Leonard; four daughters, Judy Gaudet, Debra Gaudet, Lisa Simmons and Rachel Leonard; one brother, Roy Guidry; one sister, Thelma LeJune; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oleus and Antoinette Sassoni Guidry; and one son, Ricky Leonard.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
